Summer Missions Team

The Summer Missions Team is designed to challenge high school students to grow in their relationship to Jesus Christ though serving others.

As a missions team member you may have the chance to experience different aspects of camp ministry. You could serve in housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, program, grounds crew, or a Counselor in Training. Service is for one, or up to four weeks of summer camp, depending on your availability and camp needs.

Summer Missions Team member need to have completed at least one year of high school and be recommended by three adults. All members should display a growing relationship to Jesus and a willingness to serve.

Summer Missions Team members are a part of the summer staff and report to the Summer Leadership Team and the head of the area they are assigned to.

We encourage all SMT participants to be part of our Sr High Exodus Camp.  If you are an SMT and you commit to 3-4 weeks you can come to Exodus Camp for no cost, if you commit to 1-2 weeks your cost for Exodus Camp is 1/2 price.  No matter how many weeks you decide to be an SMT, if you are planning to attend Exodus Camp you MUST go through the normal registration process.

Junior Wrangler Program

The Jr. Wrangler Program is designed to challenge High School students to grow in their relationship to Jesus Christ through serving others as a part of Center Lake Bible Camp’s White Heart Ranch staff.

As a Jr. Wrangler you will work for a 1 or 2 week period of the summer, and have the chance to experience helping care for horses, general ranch chores, and other duties with the White Heart Ranch staff. Jr. Wranglers are an extension of the SMT program. When not working at the barn you get a chance to take part in some of the Summer Missions Team activities and duties.

Jr. Wranglers should have completed at least one year of high school and be recommended by three adults. All members should display a growing relationship to Jesus and a willingness to serve. Jr. Wranglers must also have attended horsemanship camp at CLBC or be able to demonstrate a similar level of horse related experience.

Jr. Wranglers work with and under the guidance of the White Heart Ranch Staff. When not working at the Ranch, Jr. Wranglers will be with out Summer Missions Team and Staff.

Training
The State of Michigan requires training for each staff person. 

Support
Participants are urged to raise prayer support (individuals who will commit to praying for them daily), and financial support for the Summer Missions Program. Summer Missions Team and Jr Wrangler members will supply the camp with a mailing list of at least 15 addresses and short statement of why they want to work at Center Lake Bible Camp. The camp will send out the letters for the team member. A sample of the SMT/Jr Wrangler support letter will be given to the team members.
